I contacted EA and they were able to give me the complete digital version even though the free give-away event was over. It also means that your games (TS2, TS3 and TS4) are always up-to-date when it comes to patches. It now loads from the download EA offered some time in 2015 (I think - might even have been 2014 already) via origin.
